Anne had been wanting to have a swim in the sea in England in June to prove a point and her opportunity finally came on our second to last day on the road, south of Grimsby on the Lincolnshire coast –very hot day, English people at the beach without their socks on but no one swimming –after a picnic lunch there we trotted down to the water and in she went with photos to prove it. Kaye and Helen paddled and water was quite warm. After another detour past a Royal residence (Sandringham) we continued on to the next YHA, an old church hall in Wells Next the Sea, on the Norfolk coast. After dinner walked down by the harbour at sunset –truly peaceful and beautiful spot but apparently gets very busy in rest of summer.
