Woke this morning to a cloudless blue sky and fantastic view across to the mainland in quiet and peaceful surroundings. Went for a long walk on the recently completed pathway around to the long sandy beach, then into the village which is much larger than we had imagined ( tho still an intimate place) which has a fruit and vege market, a supermarket, bread shop, Tourist info and bike hire and a few guest houses and bars as well as local residents homes. We then spent rest of day swimming in sea and pool, and sleeping by the pool. After some fiddling around managed to get the satellite TV to work in time to watch live Serena beat Venus at Wimbledon and Fabian Cancellara win the time trial at Monaco, the first stage of the Tour de France all thru German language channels but that’s fine. Now at 8 pm off for another swim then dinner and wireless internet at apt café. Our cup runneth over and the apts look just like ( well some similarities) the movie set for Mama Mia-expect to see Meryl Street dancing down the steps and bursting into song at any minute!!! There are lots of families with kids here but apts are quite separate so minimal noise. This place is just what we were looking for –Lynds wants to live here!!
